SECOND HOUSE RESTORATION
The Second House Restoration Committee together with the Town of East Hampton are working to restore the Second House Museum. Currently, the inside of the house has been dismantled and plans to restore the House to the period of 1880 are being drafted. Second House was built in 1746 and remains the oldest building still standing in Montauk. In 1968 East Hampton Town and the New York State Historical Trust became owners of Second House. The Montauk Historical Society operates and maintains Second House.
